My journey (part 3)
Day 3
This time, I woke up at 5.20am, feeling so guitly to find sis had left. Ughh should have woken up earlier, but as I had missed her anyway, I took my time to wash up and wait for one of her cousins to accompany me going over to the hairdresser.
Went back to her house at around 7.15am, was very scared that I might have been late as the groom would come around that time. But luckily, everything seemed to be as normal. Waited until nearly 9am, the groom and his relatives came. In VN, it is a tradition for the groom's family to pass the bride's a whole set of wedding presents on the day the bride becomes his wife. And the bridesmaids are to be the ones who would be there to take those passed from the groom's best frens.
I knew I was dead the moment I saw that casket of betel and areca-nut, one of the heaviest of all, passing to me ... That was the moment when I began to feel thankful for all the years in Spore I've been spending moving luggage around at the end of each semester, which gave me sufficient training for today.
Thanks God I didn't drop it on the way upstairs, not to mention I was in the traditional long dress, an efficient tool for preventing you from moving comfortably and safely *still sweating*
Nothing went wrong, I was very glad that I din make any mistakes. Poor sis was startled by the balloons exloding when she stepped out of the door, but wasn't it great you've got ur husband right beside for you to lean on that moment :p? As I think, it's a good sign sis, meaning u'll always have him when you fall ^_^!
And so sis left. Came back to rest (or rather, to hide from the sun shining outside) for a while until 3pm. Jubnov came and brought me to the hairdresser. This time, not to wait for the bride's make-up, but to get my hair redo :D. Been always wondering if I should change my hair style or not, normally I won't dare changing that much. But at that moment, some strange feelings gave me enough courage to do the "renovation".
In the evening went over to eat with Pig Ha and just rode around the streets. HCM city is not that much different from Hanoi, but it does have more shops and it is very crowded. The important thing is it has lots of places to eat until late at night *drool*, and the food is just fantastic!
Went back to In's place quite late, took a bath and jumped to bed. Fell asleep so fast I never managed to listen to the 2nd song in the mp3 player...
